The RONAL R60-blue design is the first rim designed according to sustainable principles throughout the entire production and life cycle, with which we uphold our environmental and social responsibility as a company. In Germany it is produced using 100 percent green electricity and under ideal working conditions.
With this rim, we have succeeded in introducing the first automobile wheel rim in the market, which is designed and manufactured according to sustainable principles throughout the entire production and life cycle. In Germany it is produced using 100 percent green electricity and under ideal working conditions. In the case of the R60-blue, the environmental impact is significantly reduced through weight reduction, material preparation and production process optimizations. On the one hand, the rim is thereby an ambassador and milestone for the company's own PLANBLUE sustainability concept, and on the other hand a pioneer in a new, environmentally-friendly generation of wheel rims.
In practice, this means: The rim helps to save CO2.
By reducing the weight of the R60-blue rim – 600 g per rim – a decrease in CO2 emissions of approximately 83 kilograms can be achieved by manufacturing and driving the vehicle over 150,000 kilometers. This means that an automobile, equipped with R60-blue rims, allows approximately 3300 kilometers of CO2-neutral driving. (Basis: CO2 emissions of 100 g/km).
However, the R60-blue is not only popular among drivers of electric cars; the rim can be combined ideally with low-resistance tires and, thanks to its size of 6.5 x 16 inches in jetblack-front diamond cut, it is suitable both for hybrid cars with new technologies and also for conventional brands, such as VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Opel and Nissan, Hyundai, Honda, Mitsubishi, etc.
